
Ring and Ball Test Unit – 21001-2
The Ring and Ball Test Unit provides simple equipment to determine the softening point of a sample using the ring and ball method.
A steel ball is placed upon a disc of a sample contained within a metal ring. The assembly is heated in a bath and the temperature is taken when the sample softens enough to allow the ball to fall through the ring.
