Seta Oil Test Centrifuge – 6 place – 90100-0

The Seta Oil Test Centrifuge is a heated chamber centrifuge used to determine water and sediment in oils. The large diameter chamber, with six place rotor and cushioned adaptors, allows the use of 6 and 8-inch conical, pear-shaped, trace sediment and 12.5 ml tubes.

The swing-out rotor ensures that samples are held near vertical when at rest, allowing precise measurement of sediment. The centrifuge features a hinged lid that opens to the fully upright position, allowing easy loading and unloading of tubes between tests.

Speed, temperature, and timing are microprocessor controlled. Run parameters are entered via a liquid-proof ‘touch panel’ and digital display.

Methods: ASTM D91, ASTM D893, ASTM D1290, ASTM D1796, ASTM D2273, ASTM D2709, ASTM D2711, ASTM D4007, ISO 3734, ISO 9030

Features

  • Isothermal heaters fitted internally to the centrifuge chamber
  • Temperature control using a unique algorithm to compensate for air resistance heating
  • 6 place swing out rotor
  • Static, near vertical bucket positioning
  • Specifically designed for testing oils
  • Heated chamber, ambient to 80 °C
  • Pre-heat facility to ensure the bowl is at test temperature prior to the test
  • Universal buckets for 12.5 ml, 6 and 8-inch glassware
  • Microprocessor control with 99 memories
  • Optional trolley

Precise heating for accurate results
Isothermal heaters fitted internally to the centrifuge chamber give precise temperature control to within +/-1 °C.

Fast and easy operation
9 program memories allow a user to configure the instrument to automatically operate to the specified test parameters, saving time, easing operation and assisting repeatability. A ‘Quick Run’ mode allows short runs of up to 99 seconds.

Safety features
A motor-driven lid latch with a safety interlock prevents the centrifuge operation while the lid is unlocked. Imbalanced detection and over-temperature protections protect the motor and chamber from damage.

Setafuge Hazard Reduction System
The optional Setafuge Hazard Reduction System (90010-0) can be fitted into the centrifuge to extract vapors from the chamber and significantly reduce vapor hazards.
