The table-top setup is very quickly screwed together and ready for immediate use. Thanks to its compact design, it can be positioned flexibly – ideal for factories or mobile use. The demonstration set-up is supplied with a matching cover, which ensures reliable darkening in bright light and thus guarantees stable measurement results. Alternatively, a practical bypass with quick-release fasteners is available for maximum flexibility in use. Compared to conventional laboratory refractometers, the setup also allows the analysis of larger sample volumes – the ideal addition to your process setup.

The SCHMIDT + HAENSCH T-Piece Housing with ½” NPT thread offers a compact and practical way of integrating the process refractometer directly between two pipes. The standardized thread allows for quick installation into existing systems – ideal for applications where space is an issue. The robust design ensures a reliable and tight connection, while the iCS2 delivers precise in-line measurements during operation. Ideally suited for continuous in-process use in cooling lubricant systems or for precise concentration monitoring in machine tools such as CNC systems. The connection thread on the opposite side is fitted with a blind plug as standard and can be used flexibly, for example as a water connection, if required. The iCS2 inline refractometer can be quickly and easily connected to a PC using the USB adapter cable. The plug-and-play solution enables immediate communication between the device and software – without any complicated set-up. With the UniConfig software supplied with the iCS2 process refractometer, measurements can be carried out, controlled and conveniently evaluated directly via the computer. The software also allows the process refractometer to be configured individually – according to the requirements of your application. Hygienic valve housing
The favorable connections for SCHMIDT + HAENSCH process instruments for pipes and vessels are VariVent in-line housings. This type of connection provides a maximum of flexibility. Our valve housings meet the highest standards for hygienic processes .It can handle pressures up to 10 bar and holds no dead spaces around the measuring head.
It is possible to fit up to 2 different instruments on one in-line housing – for example a measuring head and a prism cleaning unit. The height of our dead-zone-free housings exactly corresponds to the diameter of the connection pipeline. This avoids domes and sumps with their negative effects such as oxidization damage or cleaning problems. The special ball shape of the housing offers the best flow profiles without flow separation.
