Job Description:
We are seeking a self-motivated and technically oriented individual with electrical/electronic education and/or experience for the position of Field Service Technician. You will do service work for both Lazar Scientific Inc. and PSL Rheotek USA Inc. Individual must be familiar with reading circuit diagrams and various electronic trouble-shooting techniques, and have an aptitude for computer operations. Applicants must have excellent communication skills as they will be required to teach the operation of instruments to users. While being familiar with networks, having refrigeration experience, and a chemistry background would be helpful, these skills are not a requirement. This position will be based at the home office in Granger, Indiana. Approximately 50%-60% of the time will be spent traveling throughout the continental United States. All travel expenses are covered. Individual will be responsible for installing and servicing our complete line of testing instruments that measure the physical properties of liquids. Training for the full product line will be provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete provided training
  • Learn our products and service procedures
  • Successfully execute electronic troubleshooting techniques
  • 50%-60% of the position is traveling (all expenses covered)
  • Installing and servicing our complete line of testing instruments
  • Produce timely and detailed service reports
  • Training users on the proper use and operations of these instruments

Requirements:

  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school and/or other combination of technical training through the military, apprenticeship, or other equivalent training/experience
  • Self-motivated and technically oriented
  • Electrical/electronic education and/or experience
  • Familiarity with circuit diagrams and electronic troubleshooting techniques
  • Computer aptitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Interact with customers in a professional manner
  • Highly detail oriented
  • Ability to adapt to changing work schedules and environments
  • Pass a drug screening prior to employment and throughout the course of employment
