Seta Rust Prevention Test Bath, 11200-7

The Seta Rust Prevention Test Bath indicates the ability of steam turbine oils to prevent rusting of ferrous components, should water become mixed with the oil. Also used to test the corrosive properties of cargoes in petroleum product pipelines. Also used to test the corrosive properties of cargoes in petroleum product pipelines.

The 31 litre capacity oil bath has a temperature range of ambient +5°C to 120°C, and is controlled by a remote digital thermostir unit to within ±0.1°C @ 65°C. The top panel of the bath accepts up to 7 test beakers. Each beaker is stirred at 1000 ±50 rev/min by a quick release paddle stirrer.

The test specimen, mounted in a holder (acrylic for normal oils, PTFE for synthetic fluids) is submerged in the sample in the beaker and supported by the beaker cover. A hinged front panel allows visual check to be made of sample mixing while the beakers are immersed in the bath.

Supplied with: seven standard stirrers and Berzelius beakers.
